About the Event:

This 3-day event is designed for all those in search of meaning, community and deep conversations.

The Bridges of Meaning community

Bridges of Meaning started as an online community to facilitate big idea exploration. As part of the Estuary movement, the goal was to gather people from all walks of life to discuss meaning and think through deep ideas in fellowship.

In this community, people are learning from each other as they grow in vulnerability, have honest dialogues, and build sustainable communities that are having a positive impact.

As of late, our community members have made a concerted effort to take our online participation and give it life in the real world.  Our international community has formed local small groups and held special events so they are able to meet and engage with others in person.

This festival is an attempt to join in this effort and facilitate deep connection for all those in attendance. We’ve designed this international event to help foster this dynamic by facilitating networking, supporting and educating others about the movement and encouraging people to start their own estuary group.

The festival activities include:

  • Speaker Events (featuring Paul Vanderklay, Byrne Power, and John van Donk)
  • a concert and live podcast recordings
  • small group discussions
  • bonfire, events, community meals and more!

Who are we?

Event Organizers:

The festival developed out of the community and is organized and run by volunteers.

@Matthias and @Cassidy P are the main festival organizers. They are long-time Bridges of Meaning members and have been working on the event from the very beginning. Alongside their efforts, they have the strong support from other community members, including @Laguzus (Danny), @Aaaron, and @Catteo. We are all excited to help produce this event and look forward to seeing everyone there!

Flow in the Dark Productions

Flow in the Dark is a new media and event production company owned and run by Cassidy. Her mission is to provide content, resources, and live event opportunities for “this little corner” and the broader Estuary movement. This will be the first live Estuary event her company has had the privilege to produce, so it is a special honor to be involved in this festival.

The schedule is developed, speakers and artists are booked, now we need the support of our community to make this a reality!

The campaign

Funding goals

The purpose of this campaign is to help fund our first festival. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000.00 dollars to cover the production cost of the event.

Price allocation is broken down as follows:

34% towards catering costs
31% towards speaker costs
16% towards event production costs
12% towards video production costs
7% Merchandise and Other Cost

All funds will be deposited into the Flow in the Dark Productions business account and be directed to producing the 2022 BoM Festival. Our hope is to make this an annual event, so any profits raised over our initial festival cost will go towards funding future events. None of the funds will be pocketed by the company or any organizers involved in this event.

Incentives and Conditions

We know that everyone has a different ability to help support these sorts of efforts, so we welcome contributions in any amount. Every dollar counts and we appreciate your support in this endeavor!

To honor your generosity, we are offering the following incentives:

During the festival all our staged speeches will be recorded with the intent to have them published after the event. As a thank you, our team will provide all contributors first access to these recordings. Private links will be sent out via email once we are ready to release the final product, so please don’t forget to provide us with your preferred contact information.

Contributions of  € 150.00 and up qualify individuals for a full festival pass for either this years or next year’s events. This can be used for yourself or donated to a third party.

Contributions over € 225.00 will qualify you for a private lunch with the scheduled speakers during the festival! All costs associated with this dinner will be covered by the festival. As of now this dinner will be limited to 10 attendees to give the event a private and intimate feel.

This year’s festival has a limited participation of 100 people, so tickets will be distributed first come first serve. The event year preference will be honored as best we can, but is ultimately subject to availability. For those wanting multiple tickets for your party we can accommodate that. Just make sure your minimum donation is twice that of the level you are interested in buying into. (example: € 300.00 for 2 full fest pass) Please note, we are limiting two tickets per person during this campaign. If there are more spots available after the campaign ends you are free to purchase more.

This campaign will run from July 1st until August 14th. If spots are still available tickets will continue to sell, however the price for the full festival pass will be increased to € 225.00 per ticket. If you are looking to come we highly suggest you contribute to the campaign before the 15th, as to take advantage of the reduced cost.

Final Notes:

We want to state again that, all payments contributed to this fund during this campaign will go directly to covering the costs of event productions. No profit or payments will be allocated to organizers or community members from what is contributed to this campaign. Our pricing is aimed to make the attendance cost manageable, while also keeping our efforts sustainable. We are doing everything we can to make this event as affordable as possible, since we hate the idea that an entrance fee would be an obstacle for those eager to attend.

So in that spirit, we ask those who can afford to contribute at the designated prices to please do so, however, if you had planned to attend the event but aren’t able to afford the admission cost please reach out to one of the event organizers and we will do what we can to help.  Also, if there are any contributor who would like to donate a ticket to help someone attend, please don’t hesitate to reach out as well. We would greatly appreciate that act of kindness.

Thank you so much for your consideration in supporting our event. We are beyond grateful for the interest in seeing our online community find its roots in the real world and we hope to see many of you in Germany!
